Improved
Client-side tag integrations — now opt-in, one checkbox each
3 days ago
Every client-side integration in the Lytics JavaScript tag now runs only when its box is checked in account settings. Eight of them used to run automatically whenever the partner's tag was on the page: Facebook Ads, Google Tag Manager, Google DFP, Google Analytics custom dimensions, AdRoll, Tealium, Qubit, and AddThis. They now work like the rest, so one list shows what the tag shares with which partner, and you can change it yourself.
What changes
- Existing accounts: nothing stops working. Any of the eight that was running on your account was switched on for it.
- New accounts: every client-side integration starts off. Check the ones you use, such as Facebook Ads to sync audiences through the Meta Pixel, or Google Tag Manager to collect the
dataLayer. - The Integrations Blocklist is gone from account settings. On the version 2 and version 3 tags, the checkboxes are the only on/off control.
What you need to do
- Setting up a new account? Check the integrations you need under Account → Settings → JavaScript Tag → Client Side Integrations.
- Still on the legacy version 1 tag? It doesn't read the checkboxes and still uses the blocklist. Contact Lytics Support to change it.
See JavaScript Tag Config for the full list of integrations.
