Snapchat — server-side Conversions API export
5 days ago
The Snapchat integration now includes a Conversions API Export job that sends server-side conversion events from a Lytics audience to Snapchat's Conversions API (CAPI). Reporting conversions server-side complements the Snap Pixel, improves measurement when browser signals are limited, and can sharpen the performance of your ad campaigns.
How it works
- Pick a Lytics Audience and a Snap Pixel ID (for web and offline events) or Snap App ID (for mobile-app events), then choose the Snapchat Event Name and where the conversion happened with Action Source (
WEB,OFFLINE, orMOBILE_APP). - Map your Lytics fields to Snapchat identifiers with User Data Mapping — email, phone, name, and address fields are normalized and SHA-256 hashed automatically, while device and click identifiers (IP, user agent, mobile ad ID, Snap click ID) are sent as-is.
- Enrich events with conversion value, currency, item count, and a conversion ID for deduplication.
- Trigger conversions on audience enters, exits, or field changes, with an optional backfill of the current audience on start. Events stream to Snapchat in near real time.
What you need to do
- Create a Snapchat authorization for this job. The recommended method is a long-lived Conversions API Token generated in Snapchat Ads Manager (it doesn't expire). Snapchat Sign In (OAuth) also works, but you'll need a new authorization — the one used for the audience export doesn't grant Conversions API access.
- Have your Snap Pixel ID or Snap App ID ready from Snapchat Ads Manager.
