Topic Summary — judge a topic's reach and build an audience from it

The Topic Summary page has been rebuilt in the new Lytics interface. Open any topic to see how much of your content covers it and how interested your audience is — then turn any slice of that interest into an audience without leaving the page.

What's new

  • Judge a topic at a glance — how much of your content carries the topic, how many people have a score for it, and the average level of interest, with the band that average falls into named beside it.
  • See who is interested — the whole distribution of scores from 0 to 1, instead of a single summary figure.
  • Select a band, and know what it costs you — one click for High, Some, Low, Uninterested or any affinity, or drag the handles for a custom range. Every choice reports how many users it selects before you commit to it.
  • Create the audience in placeBuild audience opens a drawer with a prefilled name, a size queried from your live audience rather than estimated from the chart, and a plain statement of who is in, who is out, and who isn't counted either way. Refine in audience builder hands the same band off to the builder when you want to combine it with other rules.
  • Share what you're looking at — the active tab and context layer travel in the page's URL.

See Topics for the full walkthrough, including how the interest bands are defined.
